§ 933. Barbiturates and other dangerous drugs—Sale of barbiturates and dangerous drugs

(a) Every natural or [juridical] person who in any manner sells, gives, negotiates, exchanges or distributes any of the barbiturates and dangerous drugs defined in § 931 of this title may do so exclusively on a practitioner’s order or prescription, which shall be dispensed by a pharmacist or pharmacy aide, as prescribed by the laws in force.

(b) No drug manufacturer, wholesaler or distributor may sell, distribute or give barbiturates and dangerous drugs except through pharmaceutical establishments, hospitals, physicians, dentists, veterinarians and institutions or agencies duly authorized therefor.
