§ 2816. Licenses—Renewal

Any person who holds a permanent license may apply for the renewal of the same at least thirty (30) days before its expiration date to the Board by paying the corresponding fees as established in the Service Fee Retulations of the Examining Boards. Said application shall be made by using the form and by enclosing the documents that the Board determines through regulations.

The applicant shall also present crediting proof of having met the continu[ing] education requirements established by the Department of Health through regulations on treatment plants and/or systems for drinking water, and by the Environmental Quality Board on the treatment plants and/or systems for used water.

Any person whose permanent license has expired may apply for the renewal thereof within a period not to exceed one (1) year from its expiration date. Any person whose permanent license has been expired for a term greater than one (1) year must apply for recertification.

The Board may deny renewal of a permanent license to any person who does not meet the requirements established by this chapter and the regulations thereunder after having given notice and hearing, by following the established adjudicative procedure.
