The Olympic Trust shall be directed and administered by a Board of Trustees. All powers of the Olympic Committee shall be exercised by the Board, which shall be constituted by eleven (11) members, of whom five (5) shall be ex-officio members. The trustees to take office as ex-officio members shall be the President of the Puerto Rico Olympic Committee (Spanish Acronym: COPUR), the First Vice President of COPUR, the Secretary General of COPUR, the permanent member of the International Olympic Committee and the Medical Director of Sports Medicine of the Olympic Shelter. The remaining six (6) members shall be: one (1) athlete over eighteen (18) years of age who, over the last ten (10) years, has represented Puerto Rico in two (2) or more international competitions sponsored by the International Olympic Committee; one (1) academic teacher or professor; one (1) attorney; one (1) physical education teacher with a Master’s degree; one (1) economist or planner; and one (1) architect or engineer. The six (6) designated members shall be in the active practice of their respective professions. The Mayor of San Juan and the Director of the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture shall be deemed honorary members of the Board and, as such, they shall have a voice but no vote in Olympic Trust affairs.
