§ 2302. Registration procedure

The student coming from a church-school may be registered in a State school, pursuant to the following procedure:

(a) The student shall be evaluated by a unit or division equivalent to the Department of Education in order to determine the grade in which the student shall be registered.

(b) The director of the school where the [parent] or guardian goes to register a student coming from a church-school shall proceed to admit the student on[c]e he or she completes a placement test prepared by the Department of Education[’s] main office. The student’s admission and/or placement shall be made pursuant to the results of said examination.

(c) The registration procedures and the placement test and its results shall be completed no later than three working days after the date the corresponding admission application was filed during the school year, and no later than two weeks during academic recess. The student applicant shall be included in the school’s registration at any moment within the first seven (7) months of the school year.
