Completed landfill units must be closed in accordance with the approved closure plan of § 74:27:15:04. Closure shall begin within 30 days after reaching the maximum fill elevation and must be completed within 180 days of initiation of closure. If completion occurs during inclement weather, the secretary may approve an intermediate cover until final cover and revegetation can be completed.
