Section 46.9 - Use of front crossing arms

Any school bus painted national school bus chrome may be equipped with a front crossing arm. Such front crossing arm shall only be activated while the school bus is stopped and engaged in receiving or discharging pupils. Further, such front crossing arm shall be used only in accordance with the directions of the Commissioner of Education. (Authority to use a front crossing arm which makes a school bus overlength is contained in section 56.9[a] of this Title.)
