Section 46.8 - Use of back-up beepers

Any school bus painted national school bus chrome may be equipped with a device which emits a loud, intermittent beep when and only when the transmission of the school bus is in reverse gear. (Authority to use a back-up beeper which makes a school bus overwidth is found in section 56.7[c] of this Title.)
