Section 10A:72-12.3 - Travel outside the State of New Jersey; sex offenders

(a) Upon the issuance of a travel permit pursuant to 10A:72-12.1 or 12.2 to a sex offender under the supervision of the Board, the parole officer providing the travel permit to the sex offender shall review with the sex offender their obligation to comply with any and all sex offender registration requirements in effect at the proposed travel destination.

(b) The parole officer providing the travel permit to the sex offender shall have the sex offender review and sign the section of the travel permit titled "Sex Offender Travel." The signature of the sex offender on the travel permit shall constitute the acknowledgement of the sex offender that the sex offender is aware of his or her obligation to comply with any and all sex offender registration requirements in effect at the proposed travel destination.
