The department may disclose to the media, for journalistic purposes, a person's name, age and motor vehicle offenses. Requests from the media for such information shall be made to the commissioner, assistant commissioner or the director of motor vehicles. Except for such disclosures to the media, RSA 260:14, VIII shall not constitute authorization for the department to disclose the information to any person not the subject of the records.
