Section 445A.6688 - Water wells: Determination and reporting of yield characteristics of wellAfter the construction of a water well and before the attachment of a permanent pump to the well, the supplier of water shall:
1. Cause a step drawdown test and a constant discharge aquifer test, or another engineering investigation or analysis suitable for determining the characteristics of the well for the production of water, to be performed on the well and submit the results of the tests, investigation or analysis to the Division or the appropriate district board of health. The supplier of water shall coordinate its activities with the Bureau of Water Pollution Control of the Division to ensure that any discharge of water resulting from the tests, investigation or analysis will not violate any standards for water quality.2.
