Section 445A.66885 - Water wells: Prerequisites to use after construction, modification or reconditioning1. After the construction of a water well is completed and before any water from the well is allowed to enter a public water system, the supplier of water shall: (a) Submit to the Division or the appropriate district board of health a copy of a chemical analysis conducted by a properly certified laboratory which indicates that the water complies with the provisions of NAC 445A.450 to 445A.492, inclusive; and(b) If the supplier of water proposes to blend, dilute or otherwise treat the water to attain compliance with any of those provisions:(1) Submit to the Division or the appropriate district board of health a complete description of the proposal, as prepared by an engineer; and(2) Obtain the approval of the proposal by the Division or the appropriate district board of health.2. After the construction of any modification or reconditioning of a water well is completed and before the well is placed into service:(a) The well and any associated pumping equipment must be disinfected in compliance with American Water Works Association Standard C654, as adopted by reference in NAC 445A.6663; and(b) A satisfactory bacteriological analysis of a sample of the water from the well must be submitted to the Division or the appropriate district board of health.Nev.
