Applications received from individuals residing in another state will be denied with a notice mailed to them explaining that the applicants need to reapply upon arrival in Mississippi with the intent to permanently reside.B. Individuals who are in Mississippi for a temporary purpose, such as a visit, who intend to return to their home out of state are not eligible for Mississippi Medicaid or the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP).C.
