Rule 23-101-4.6 - Residence Change During the Application ProcessA. If the applicant reports moving to another location within Mississippi during the application process, the application must be completed by the first regional office, and if approved, transferred to the regional office applicable to the new location. If the application is denied, the record is not transferred until the applicant reapplies in the second location.B. If the applicant reports moving out of Mississippi during the application process, the date of the move must be determined. If otherwise eligible, the applicant may be approved for Medicaid for any requested retroactive months through the month of the move. If the applicant will be eligible for Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), eligibility can be established for the month following the month of application or any subsequent month(s) when the applicant lived in Mississippi.C. If only some members of the applicant family are moving from Mississippi, the children and adults who remain in Mississippi will be identified and the case will be handled on their ongoing eligibility accordingly.23 Miss.
