Section 63M-7-522 - [Effective 12/31/2024] Emergency reparations award(1) If the reparations officer determines that the claimant will suffer financial hardship unless an emergency reparations award is made, and it appears likely that a final reparations award will be made, an amount may be paid to the claimant, to be deducted from the final reparations award or repaid by and recoverable from the claimant to the extent that it exceeds the final reparations award.(2) The office may limit emergency reparations awards under Subsection (1) to any amount the office considers necessary.Amended by Chapter 506, 2024 General Session ,§ 60, eff. 12/31/2024.Amended by Chapter 149, 2020 General Session ,§ 21, eff. 5/12/2020.Renumbered and Amended by Chapter 382, 2008 General Session.This section is set out more than once due to postponed, multiple, or conflicting amendments.
