Section 1702.2305 - Provisional Individual License(a) The department may issue a provisional individual license to an applicant currently licensed in another jurisdiction who seeks an equivalent license in this state and who:(1) has been licensed in good standing in the field in which the individual license is sought for at least two years in another jurisdiction, including a foreign country, that has licensing requirements substantially equivalent to the requirements of this chapter;(2) has passed a national or other examination recognized by the commission relating to practice in the field in which the individual license is sought; and(3) is employed by a company license holder with whom the provisional individual license holder will practice during the time the person holds a provisional individual license.(b) A provisional individual license is valid until the date the department approves or denies the provisional individual license holder's application for an individual license. The department shall issue an individual license under this chapter to the provisional individual license holder if the provisional individual license holder is eligible to be licensed under this chapter.(c) The department must approve or deny a provisional individual license holder's application for an individual license not later than the 180th day after the date the provisional individual license is issued. The department may extend the 180-day period if the results of an examination have not been received by the department before the end of that period.(d) The commission may establish a fee for a provisional individual license in an amount reasonable and necessary to cover the cost of issuing the individual license.Tex.
