Section 403.618 - Jobs, Energy, Technology, And Innovation Act Oversight Committee; Report(a) The Jobs, Energy, Technology, and Innovation Act Oversight Committee is composed of the following seven members: (1) three members of the house of representatives appointed by the speaker of the house of representatives; (2) three members of the senate appointed by the lieutenant governor; and (3) one member who serves as the chair of the committee and who: (A) is a member of the house of representatives appointed by the speaker of the house of representatives who serves only in odd-numbered years; and (B) is a member of the senate appointed by the lieutenant governor who serves only in even-numbered years. (b) At least one member appointed by the speaker of the house of representatives and at least one member appointed by the lieutenant governor under Subsection (a) must represent a district that includes a county with a population of 100,000 or less. (c) If a vacancy occurs in the membership of the oversight committee, the appropriate appointing authority shall appoint a person to fill the vacancy. (d) A member of the oversight committee serves at the pleasure of the appropriate appointing authority. (e) The oversight committee may recommend in a written report to the legislature those types of projects that the committee determines by majority vote should be statutorily added to or removed from the definition of "eligible project" provided by Section 403.602.
