(a) The University of Texas Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at Houston is under the direction of a dean appointed by the board of regents.(b) To be qualified for appointment as dean, a person must have a doctor of medicine degree or a doctor of philosophy degree in one of the biomedical sciences.(c) The dean is responsible through the chancellor or other executive officer of the system to the board.
