Section 58029 - Maintenance by township; funds for(a) The cost and expenses of caring for shade trees after planting, and the expense of publishing the notice required by this article shall be paid by the township.(b) The shade tree commission shall annually certify the amount needed under this article to the board of commissioners.(c) Instead of levying the tax authorized under the general tax levying powers of this act, the board of commissioners may provide for the expenses of caring for trees previously planted and publishing the notice, by appropriations equal to the amount certified to be required by the shade tree commission.1931, June 24, P.L. 1206, art.
