Section 3221 - Cease and desist orders; injunctionsWhenever it appears to the commissioner that any person has engaged in, or is about to engage in, any act or practice constituting a violation of any provision of this act or any rule or order hereunder, the commissioner may:
(1) Issue an order directed at any such person requiring such person to cease and desist from engaging in such act or practice.(2) Bring an action in any court which has appropriate jurisdiction to enjoin the acts or practices and to enforce compliance with this act or any rule or order hereunder. Upon a proper showing, a permanent or temporary injunction, restraining order or writ of mandamus shall be granted and a receiver or conservator may be appointed for the defendant or the defendant's assets. The commissioner shall not be required to post a bond.1984, June 18, P.L. 391, No. 82, § 21, effective in 6 months.
