Section 11.710 - Responsibilities of employers, service providers and insurance companies(a) Response. Employers, insurance companies or providers of services to direct victims, intervenors or claimants, including, but not limited to, doctors, hospitals and counselors, shall respond in writing to the Office of Victims' Services' request for confirmation or other information under this chapter within 30 days of receipt of the Office of Victims' Services' request.(b) Penalty. Any person who fails to respond to a request under subsection (a) shall be subject to a penalty of not more than $50 per day, up to and including the date of compliance.(c) Enforcement. The office of the district attorney of the county in which the crime occurred and the Office of Victims' Services shall be charged with enforcement of this section and the collection of penalties, which may be given to local victim service agencies or used for the enforcement and collection of penalties under this section.1998, Nov. 24, P.L. 882, No. 111, § 710, imd. effective.
