Section 12408 - Market places

Council may:

(1) Purchase, lease and own ground for market places.
(2) Erect, maintain and establish market places.
(3) Provide for and enforce suitable general market regulations.
(4) Contract with any person for the erection and regulation of market places on terms and conditions and in the manner as council may prescribe.
(5) Levy and collect a license fee from every person who may be authorized by council to occupy any portion of the streets, sidewalks or city property for temporary market purposes.
