Section 5-1-205 - Redistricting population data(1) The center shall prepare redistricting population data that reflects an incarcerated individual at the individual's last known address pursuant to 5-1-206.(2) The districting and apportionment commission shall use the data to form congressional, state house, or state senate districts.(3) A local government shall use the data to form local government districts that are based on population. An incarcerated individual whose address prior to incarceration is unknown, as determined pursuant to 5-1-206, may not be included in the calculation used to determine the ideal population of a local government district.Added by Laws 2023, Ch. 233,Sec. 5, eff. 7/1/2023, and applicable to local election districts based on population whose boundaries are created or altered on or after the date when the redistricting data for the 2030 census is available.
