Section 56:3000.1 - [Effective 7/1/2024] Reimbursement of revenue reductionsA. This Section shall apply only to those free and discounted recreational hunting and fishing licenses that are issued on or after July 1, 2024.B. The Department of Wildlife and Fisheries shall be reimbursed from the state general fund for any lost revenue resulting from the issuance of free and discounted recreational hunting and fishing licenses in an amount equal to the discounts issued.C. The department shall maintain an accounting of lost revenue and shall include the amount of lost revenue in its annual budget request submitted pursuant to Subpart A of Part II of Chapter 1 of Subtitle I of Title 39 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950.D. The accounting maintained pursuant to Subsection C of this Section shall be subject to inspection and audit by the legislative auditor.Added by Acts 2024, No. 449,s. 1, eff. 7/1/2024.
