§ 924. Gasoline

The Administrator, by regulations, shall determine the octane ratings of gasoline sold, offered, exhibited, delivered, displayed, transferred or in process of delivery, sale or transfer. It shall be unlawful to sell, offer, exhibit, deliver or display for sale gasoline which does not contain the rating or octane number established by the Administrator by regulations. Any person who violates this provision shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine of not less than one hundred dollars ($100) or more than one thousand dollars ($1,000) or by imprisonment in jail for a term not to exceed six (6) months for the first offense, and for subsequent offenses by a fine which shall not be less than five hundred dollars ($500) or more than five thousand dollars ($5,000) or by imprisonment in jail for a term of not more than one (1) year or by both penalties in the discretion of the court.
