§ 914. Balances within reach of consumers

Every commercial establishment wherein commodities are sold on the basis of weight or measure shall be provided with a weighing and/or measuring device; and in such establishments wherein prepacked packages are exhibited, offered or displayed for sale, there shall be installed one (1) or more balances within the reach of the consumers, so that the latter may verify the weight of such packages. The number of balances shall be determined by the Administrator, taking into consideration the lineal extension of the establishment. These instruments shall be considered commercial and shall be sealed by the Administrator.
