P.R. Laws tit. 23, § 188i
(a) It is hereby provided that the Matienzo Theater, located on Ponce de León Avenue, at the corner of Del Parque Street, in the Municipality of San Juan, is hereby designated as “Francisco Arriví Theater”, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the theater in Puerto Rico, and for his artistic legacy to Puerto Rican culture, deserving the title of “Father of Contemporary Puerto Rican Theater”.
(b) The Public Roads and Structures Designating Commission of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico attached to the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture, shall take the necessary measures to faithfully comply with the provisions of this section, without being subject to the provisions of §§ 178 et seq. of this title.
