Any natural or artificial person violating §§ 43—50 of this title or any provision of the regulations adopted after the same are in force shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be punished by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars ($500), or by imprisonment for not more than twenty-five (25) days, or by both penalties, in the discretion of the court. Each and every day said violation subsists shall be considered a separate offense. In addition to the complaints which may be filed for violations of the regulations adopted, and of §§ 43—50 of this title, the Secretary of Justice on his own initiative, or when the Permit Management Office requests it by injunction, mandamus or other proper action or proceedings brought before any court of competent jurisdiction in the name and in representation of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, shall impede any violation of said regulations and of §§ 43—50 of this title.
