§ 1094a. Commonwealth Animal Control Office—Implementation and allocation; available funds

The organization, administration, operation, regulation and integration of the animal shelters referred to in § 1094-1 of this title, may be implemented by the CACO with municipal, Commonwealth, or federal funds or a combination thereof and/or private donations for those purposes. The abovementioned Regional shelters shall be located at each one of the eight regions into which the country is divided for purposes of the Environmental Health Division of the Department of Health.

Each municipality that receives services shall contribute to the support and operation of the shelters according to its population area and the amount of animals tended to in the shelter through contracts.
