§ 950. Informative posters on anabolic steriods

(a) Display of informative poster. — Any person, firm, corporation or partnership that owns or administers public or private gymnasiums, courts, parks or sports practice or training centers, as well as any business or commercial establishment where vitamins, vitamin supplements, natural foods or diet or food supplements for athletes and/or persons who devote themselves to the practice of some sport or for the general public are sold or distributed, must display in some prominent place of the premises, business or commercial establishment, an 11′′ x 17′′ poster indicating, in Spanish and English, which products are anabolic steroids and the physical, psychological [effects] and side effects they produce when used for prolonged periods without medical supervision, as well as a copy of subsection (b) of this section. Said poster shall be prepared and distributed by the Drugs Control Office, according to the parameters provided by the Federal Department of Health.

(b) Sanctions and penalties. — Noncompliance with the provisions of subsection (a) of this section shall constitute a misdemeanor and be sanctioned with a penalty of imprisonment not to exceed six (6) months or with a fine not to exceed five thousand dollars ($5,000), or both penalties at the discretion of the court.
