§ 771d. Applicability

The previous provisions shall apply to all animals or to the meat and the meat food products capable of use as human food, which may be taken to any slaughtering, canning, salting, packing, fat and by-products processing establishments or similar establishments at which inspection under §§ 771—771p of this title is maintained, and said examination or inspection shall be made before allowing entry of said meats to a section of the establishments where same will be conditioned and prepared as meat food products and the previous provisions shall also apply to all those products which, after having been delivered from any of said slaughtering, canning, salting, packing, fat and by-products processing establishments or similar establishments at which such inspection is maintained. The Secretary may limit the entry of animals, meat, and meat food products and other materials, to any establishment at which inspection under §§ 771—771p of this title is maintained, under such conditions as he may prescribe to assure that on permitting the entry of such articles to said establishments they shall be subject to inspection in accordance with the purposes of this chapter.
