§ 61d. Payment of services—Plans and insurance companies

The medico-hospital services insurance plans and insurance companies engaged in the sale of medico-hospital insurance in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the unions that enter into agreements with the Secretary of Health to avail themselves of the programs established under § 61(c) of this title, shall be bound to pay to the Commonwealth and to its municipalities, in accordance with the procedures established by the Secretary of Health, the reasonable cost of the services rendered to its insured persons in health institutions owned by the Commonwealth and its municipalities.
