§ 2142. Penalties

Any person who violates any of the provisions of §§ 2131—2144 of this title or who engages in the occupation of automotive technician or mechanic without having first obtained a license therefor, or who after having his license suspended or revoked continues to perform the trade, or who employs or allows a person to be employed to practice this trade or trades knowing that said person does not have a license therefor, or that his license has been revoked or suspended, shall incur a misdemeanor. If convicted, he/she shall be punished by imprisonment for a term not to exceed six (6) months, or a fine not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500), or both penalties, at the discretion of the court.
