§ 2140. Requirement for practice; display of license; identification card

(a) No person may perform or offer to perform the occupation of automotive technician or automotive mechanic in Puerto Rico without having first obtained a license issued by the Board.

(b) The license shall be displayed in a prominent and easily visible place in the workplace of the automotive technician or mechanic for whom it was issued.

(c) In addition to the license, the Board shall issue to every automotive technician or mechanic an identification card with the name and photograph of the automotive technician or mechanic, the license number, and its date of issue and renewal signed by the Chairman of the Board as evidence of the existence of the license. Every automotive technician or mechanic shall carry this card with him when rendering services outside his workplace.
