§ 859. License—Granting

(a) The Board shall grant or renew the license to practice the public relations agent profession to those aspiring candidates who apply and prove their abilities, pursuant to the provisions of this chapter.

(b) Licenses shall be issued by the Board. The licensed public relations agent shall have to certify, through documentary evidence every four (4) years, before this Board, that he/she has met the continuing education requirements, pursuant to subsection (e) of this section.

(c) Any applicant for this license shall show through documentary evidence that he/she meets the requirements established in the public relations agent definition, pursuant to § 855(j) of this title.

(d) As an exception, the Board may issue a license without having the requirements herein established fully met, when such an applicant certifies and credits that he/she has been authorized to practice such a profession in another jurisdiction, whose standards are similar to those established through this chapter.

(e) The licensed public relations agent shall be bound to certify through documentary evidence before this Board every four (4) years, that he/she has taken not less than thirty (30) credit-hours of continuing education within said term.

(f) The Board shall establish through regulations, the fees to be paid for each application for license approval or renewal.
