§ 55d. Tutorial program—Renewable authorization; effects

An authorization for a medical school graduate to register in the Tutorial Program issued pursuant to the provisions of §§ 55—55g of this title and its regulations shall qualify him to perform the appropriate functions, work and services in the program solely and exclusively in hospitals, dispensaries, diagnostic and treatment centers and clinics of the departments, agencies, instrumentalities and municipalities of the Government of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, and in every case, under the immediate direction and supervision of one or several physicians duly authorized by law to practice medicine in Puerto Rico.

The Board’s authorization for a medical school graduate to register in the tutorial program shall be for one (1) year. Said authorization shall be renewable for one (1) additional year with the recommendation of the Department of Health and the School of Medicine of the Medical Sciences Campus of the University of Puerto Rico, and the approval of the Board.
