§ 3562. Inactivation and reactivation

Any person holding a geologist’s license may request the inactivation of his/her license whenever he/she retires from the active practice of the profession. The petition for the inactivation of license shall be made by filing a sworn statement before the Secretary of the Board, consigning the cause on which his/her petition is based.

After the term of inactivation has elapsed, the holder thereof may request the reactivation of the license through a written petition filed before the Secretary of the Board.

It shall be illegal and shall constitute sufficient cause for the cancellation of a license for a licensed geologist to practice the profession during its term of inactivation.
