§ 5011. Protection and preservation of Monte Santa Ana—Public policy statement

It is hereby declared that the public policy of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico is to protect and conserve Monte Santa Ana. Said land formation constitutes a unique natural resource by being a natural formation, the conductor and recipient of underground waters and for providing a wildlife habitat.

Monte Santa Ana is thus a natural legacy which merits immediate protection to prevent its irreparable damage and destruction.
