§ 1320e. Solid waste—Recyclable materials

(a) It is hereby provided that the recyclable materials to be separated and classified at their source are:

(1) Paper products.

(2) Corrugated cardboard.

(3) Ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

(4) Glass.

(5) Plastics.

(6) Any other material or group of materials, that can be recovered and sold for recycling at a net cost equal to or less than that of collecting and depositing or processing them at a disposal facility.

(b) The Authority shall see to the expansion and support of the market for the recyclable materials listed in subsection (a) of this section as well as the creation, expansion and support of the markets of other recyclable materials not included in said list.

(c) The Authority shall determine through regulations, those recyclable materials that shall be separated and classified at their source pursuant to the existing infrastructure and recycling market. These regulations shall be revised and amended from time to time in keeping with the changes in said infrastructure and their market.
