§ 407. Regulations for drinking water

The Secretary of Health is empowered to publish and enforce necessary Drinking Water Regulations for Puerto Rico, according to the criteria established by the Administrator for public water systems. The regulations shall be promulgated according to the provisions of Act No. 112 of June 30, 1957, known as the Puerto Rico Rules and Regulations Act.

The regulations promulgated by the Secretary shall apply to all public water systems for human consumption.

The Secretary shall include all the necessary procedures, including monitoring and making such inspections as may be required in the regulations promulgated.

The Secretary shall keep such records and make such reports as needed on the activities performed, according to the provisions of this chapter and the regulations promulgated by the Administrator.
