Rule 3.3. Actions to be tried according to the place of origin of the cause

Actions against the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and actions to recover damages under any legal precept, or to obtain compensation from an insurance company, based on an insurance policy contract, shall be filed in the part corresponding to that in which the cause of action or any part thereof originated, without prejudice of the general rules on jurisdiction and removal established in Rules 3.1 and 3.5.
