§ 5062. Liability of creditor for taxes, charges, and expenses

A creditor is obliged to pay the taxes and charges which burden the estate, unless there is an agreement to the contrary.

He shall also be obliged to pay the expenses necessary for its preservation and repair.

From the fruits there shall be deducted the sums which he may employ for both purposes.
