Whether the notice referred to in § 2711 of this title has been given or not, when the time of the parturition approaches, the widow must notify the persons interested thereof. The latter shall have a right to appoint a person in whom they have confidence in order that he may ascertain the fact of the delivery.
If the person designated shall be rejected by the patient, the District Judge or the Court of First Instance in the proper case shall make a nomination of a member of the medical faculty or of a woman.
