§ 2258. Reservation of priority—Granting of title; term

A title with a priority reservation must be granted within twenty days after the date on which the reservation application was made, and shall be presented at the Registry within 25 days from the same date. When these requirements are met, the date of presentation of the title shall be understood to be that of the priority reservation, and other titles which may have been presented after the reservation shall be judged accordingly. The title must contain the number of the presentation entry and the number of the reservation application in the Day Book. The Registrar shall make a note of the presentation of the title in the margin of the presentation entry of the application for reservation.

If the title is granted or if it is presented outside of the terms prescribed in this section, the reservation applied for cannot prevail and it shall be considered granted on the date it was presented.

The priority reservation shall expire 25 days after the application is presented, and the term cannot be extended.
