§ 2254. Registration—Withdrawal or recovery of documents before or after registration

The presenter of the documents, the bearer of the presentation receipt, a representative of the presenter, the party in whose favor the registration of the right has been requested or the authorizing notary or any member of the law firm to which the latter belongs, may withdraw said documents before they are registered or once they have been registered.

With regard to the preceding paragraph, when there are documents that have been subsequently presented that may be adversely affected by the withdrawal, it shall be necessary to record the notarized consent of the person who may rightfully withdraw the documents.

The persons mentioned in the first paragraph of this section or any person, who in the judgment of the Registrar may have an interest in the document, may retrieve the registered document.

With regard to the documents presented by electronic means, the Secretary shall establish the standards for their withdrawal or devolution through the same means in the operating regulations.
