The Registrar shall keep a book or daily record system in which the documents filed shall be entered in chronological order, with the date, exact time of day, presentation number and other details in the brief notation made of each document presented, as provided by regulations, and a receipt shall be issued stating the date and number of each notation made.
The presentation of documents shall be done personally, by mail or electronic means, and by fax to reserve the entry of presentation, which shall be completed through the physical presentation of the document within 10 working days from the presentation via fax, as provided by regulations. At the moment of presentation, a notation shall be made in the corresponding Day Book or information system stating the name of the person making the presentation, the date and hour of the presentation, and the title presented shall be identified as well as a brief reference to any accompanying complementary documents. Electronic presentation and presentation through the mail shall be made in the format provided by the Secretary by regulations, and in very case, there shall be only one open presentation diary in each section of the Registry to receive all the presentations.
The Day Book shall be closed on the hour stated in the regulations, by means of a notation to such effect, written at the end of the page of the day, mentioning the number of entries made therein, or if it were the case, an indication that no entries were made, and it shall be signed by the person designated by the Registrar to perform this function.
The mode of the electronic presentation and the closing hours of the electronic Day Book for service and maintenance shall be provided in the operating regulations.
Presentation entries filed outside of the hours in which the Day Book should be open according to this subtitle or by regulations, shall be void.
There shall be a space in each Entry of Presentation to establish the action taken by the Registrar with regard to the document.
