§ 557. Access to public records; accountants

The Grand Jury shall be entitled to free access to all public records of the Island and of the municipalities thereof and to be furnished certified copies of such records without payment of any fees or compensation whatever. They may also employ expert accountants when their services are necessary, at a rate not to exceed five (5) dollars a day, payable by the People of Puerto Rico.
