§ 5. Schools and roads, use of certain federal contributions

The Secretary of Education is hereby authorized to use for the construction, repair and maintenance of public schools, and the Secretary of Transportation and Public Works to use for the construction, repair and maintenance of public roads, the funds available and that may hereafter be received as contributions from the federal government by virtue of the United States laws of May 23, 1908 and March 1, 1911, consisting of the twenty-five percent (25%) of the revenues derived from the operation of forest reserves in Puerto Rico, and of the twenty five percent (25%) of the income derived from the use of submarginal lands, by virtue of the Bankhead-Jones Farm Tenant Act of July 22, 1937.
