§ 1373. When partners may transact business on their own account

If the copartnership shall have determined in its articles of copartnership the branch of commerce in which it is to engage, the partners may legally transact any commercial business which they may desire, provided it does not belong to the kind of transactions the copartnership of which they are partners is engaged in, unless there is a special agreement to the contrary.
