§ 1455. Administrator

The Administration shall be directed by an Administrator appointed by the Secretary, with the consent of the Governor, who shall be responsible for the organization, direction and execution of all the duties of the Administration. The Administrator shall perform the duties of his/her office at the Secretary’s volition, and shall have professional training in the management or public administration field, and shall be committed to the pursuit of the objectives of this chapter.

The Secretary shall fix the salary of the Administrator, with the counsel of the Central Personnel Administration Office in accordance with the customary standards of the Government of Puerto Rico, for positions of equal or similar level functions and responsibilities.

The Administrator may appoint a Deputy Administrator, who shall act as Acting Administrator in case of absence or temporary disability of the Administrator. In case of death or dismissal of the Administrator, the Deputy Administrator shall assume his/her duties.
