§ 5095. Week and Day of the Historian

(a) The second week of the month of November of every year, and Wednesday of said week, are hereby declared to be the “Historian’s Week” and the “Historian’s Day”, respectively.

(b) The Governor, by proclamation to be broadcast through the news media, shall encourage the people of Puerto Rico to pay tribute in appreciation of historians and in fair recognition of their commendable endeavor.

(c) The Department of Education, the University of Puerto Rico and the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture shall adopt the measures necessary to fulfill the purposes of this section by organizing and holding activities on occasion of the “Historian’s Week” and the “Historian’s Day.”
